Iceland Airwaves is a music festival held annually in the city center of Reykjavik.  The festival has been an annual event since 1999.  The festival was founded with the purpose of presenting Icelandic music to the world and that is still the focus along with showcasing international bands and musicians that participate in the festival.

Dark Music Days

The music festival "Dark Music Days" is held annually in Reykjavik normally in January at the concert hall Harpa. The past years the festival has evolved to being a platform for musicians to present their music - both Icelandic and foreign musicians.

The Winter Lights Festival is held in February in Reykjavík.  This annual festival is held to celebrate the winter and at the same time the growing sun light after a long and dark winter in Iceland.
