What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in at all our hotels is at 15:00 (3 pm). However, when you book directly through our website, you can enjoy an earlier check-in at 14:00 (2 pm). Check out at all our hotels is at 11:00 (11 am).

Do you offer early check-in?

We offer early check-in at our hotels, available before 14 (2 pm). Early check-in is subject to availability on the exact arrival date, and the price is 5.250 ISK per room at Plaza, Skjaldbreið and Klöpp, 6000 ISK per room at Grandi, Arnarhvoll, Miðgarður and Laugavegur. 7500 ISK per room/apartment at Þingholt and Þingholt apartments. If you would like to guarantee early check-in, you can book the date before your original arrival. Please get in touch with us for the early check-in option at reservations@centerhotels.com

Do you offer late check-out?

We offer late check-out for an extra fee. Late check-out is subject to availability. Please get in touch with the reception at your hotel to arrange a late check-out.

Do you offer airport transfer?

Airport transfers are not included in the hotel fee, but we can help you book transport to and from the airport with a trusted third-party provider. We do ask for 24 hours' notice for bookings. Can you help me book a tour?

If you’ve come to see Iceland’s natural wonders, we can help you choose and book your preferred day tour. If you’d like to arrange things before you arrive, drop us a line at reservations@centerhotels.com. If you’d like to book the day tour yourself, you can do so at centerhotels.com/en/tours.

Do you have parking spots at the hotels?

All of our hotels are located in Reykjavik's city center, with quite a few public parking facilities nearby. We do have a few parking spaces at Center Hotels Arnarhvoll, Miðgarður by Center Hotels, and Center Hotels Laugavegur, but they are all on a first-come, first-served basis. It is not possible to book the parking space in advance. Please get in touch with the reception at your hotel upon arrival for more information.

What is included in the rooms?

The rooms at our hotels differ by style, but they all share a modern Scandinavian comfort. Every room comes packed with the little indulgences we love in a hotel room, from a minibar to a flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi, telephone, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee and tea, and a shower are included.

What room types are at the hotels?

Can I upgrade my room?

We have a good variety of room types, so it’s possible to get an upgrade if we have the availability. The upgrade price varies between hotels. See the upgrade options on the hotel page for your choice at centerhotels.com/en/hotels-reykjavik. The room upgrade starts from EUR 25 per room per night.

Can I get an extra bed for an adult in my room?

Extra beds can be requested, subject to availability. Not all rooms are applicable for this service. You can check whether your room is eligible for an additional bed on its hotel page at centerhotels.com/en/hotels-reykjavik. An extra bed costs from EUR 50 per night.

Can I get an extra bed for a child for my room?

Extra beds for children can be requested, subject to availability. Not all rooms are applicable for this service. You can see whether your room is eligible for an extra bed for a child on the hotel page at centerhotels.com/en/hotels-reykjavik. An extra bed for a child costs from EUR 25 per night.

Can I get a crib sent to my room?

Cribs can be requested, subject to availability. Not all rooms are applicable for a crib. You can see whether it is possible to add a crib to your room on the hotels page at centerhotels.com/en/hotels-reykjavik. Cribs are available for EUR 10 per night.

Do you have luggage storage?

We offer luggage storage at our hotels, so you can keep your luggage there before you check in and after you check out.

Do you have a luggage service?

We have luggage service at our hotels. The service costs EUR 15 per room. For groups of more than 10 rooms, we charge EUR 10 per room. The luggage service delivers bags to your room when you arrive and returns them to reception when you leave.

What type of breakfast do you offer?

We offer a continental breakfast buffet at all our hotels, including, but not limited to, cereal, bread, fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, and pastries. Breakfast is included in your room rate if booked directly through our website.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served at our hotels between 07:00 to 10:00 (7-10 am). Breakfast is included in your room rate if booked directly through our website.

Can I get an early breakfast?

For guests heading out early on tours, we offer an early breakfast from 3:30 to 7:00 (3:30-7 am), including a croissant and coffee or tea. Please book the night before; for special requests, breakfast can be arranged as early as 2:30 (2:30 am) with advance notice.

Can I get breakfast or lunch to take with me?

We can prepare a grab-and-go bag outside the normal breakfast service time. Our foodie bag costs 2900 ISK per person. You get a choice of coffee and tea in a takeaway cup, a sandwich, juice, yogurt, and fruit. To book a lunch bag to go, please get in touch with your hotel reception. We do ask for 24 hours’ notice to arrange your lunch bag.

Can I get breakfast in bed?

You can have breakfast delivered to your room. Included are a selection of hot and cold dishes from our breakfast buffet, as well as coffee, tea, and juices, for 3500 ISK per person. The breakfast-in-bed charge is payable at the hotel upon checkout.

Can I get gluten-free/lactose-free/vegan options for breakfast?

Yes, we can offer you gluten-free bread. In the breakfast buffet, you can also find almond milk or other lactose-free milk options. Our continental breakfast offers many options for those with dietary restrictions.

Do you have a restaurant at the hotels?

We have restaurants at our hotels: Jörgensen Kitchen & Bar at Miðgarður by Center Hotels, Lóa Restaurant at Center Hotels Laugavegur, and Grandi restaurant & bar at Grandi by Center Hotels. The restaurants vary, but they all offer a range of Scandinavian-style courses, including fish, meat, and vegetable dishes. As our valued guest, you get a 10% discount on the lunch and dinner menus at Jörgensen, Grandi, and Lóa. We have Happy Hour at the bars every day. Do you have a bar at the hotels?

We have bars at most of our hotels that are open 'til midnight every day of the week, with a selection of beverages and a daily Happy Hour.

Do you have any meal offers?

We offer half-board options with room bookings that include either a two-course or a three-course chef's choice menu at our restaurant; Jörgensen Kitchen & Bar. The half-board option must be pre-booked along with the hotel room. A two-course lunch or dinner includes a main and a choice of starter or dessert for 6.750 ISK per person. A three-course half-board dinner or lunch consists of a starter, main, and dessert for 9300 ISK per person.

Do you have a Happy Hour?

We have a daily Happy Hour at all our bars.

Do you have a spa a the hotels?

We have four spas at our hotels: Miðgarður spa, Ísafold spa, Grandi spa and Arnarhvoll wellness center. The spa at Arnarhvoll is only available to guests staying at Arnarhvoll hotel. Spa access is included for guests in certain room types and available for others for a small price. The admission is 3750 ISK per person at Miðgarður spa and Ísafold spa and 4500 ISK at Grandi spa for guests staying at our hotels. For walk ins, the admission is 4500 ISK at Ísafold and Miðgarður spa and 5900 at Grandi spa.

Can I get a massage at the hotels?

We do offer various types of massages at our spas at Miðgarður by Center Hotels, Grandi by Center Hotels, and Þingholt by Center Hotels. The massage needs to be booked 24 hours in advance. Get more info on the massages at centerhotels.com/en/spa-gym

Can you help me celebrate a special occasion?

I have a non-refundable booking. What are my options?

If you wish to rebook, we are happy to do so free of charge. You keep the amount you have paid as a credit towards a new booking, on dates of your choosing. Please email us your new dates, and we will rebook you. Please email us for more information at reservations@centerhotels.com. If you wish to cancel and not rebook at this time, we offer to keep the amount you have paid as credit. Please email us for more information. Unfortunately, refunds are not available.

I have a booking through a third-party website and am unable to come. What should I do?

If you have made a booking through a third-party website, please get in touch with them directly. We offer all guests the option to rebook to any date of their choosing. Please email us for more information or assistance at reservations@centerhotels.com.

I have made a booking through a travel agent and am unable to come. What should I do?

Please get in touch with your travel agent to discuss your options. If you need assistance, please email us at reservations@centerhotels.com or use the chat.

Which hotels have wheelchair accessibility?

The hotels that offer wheelchair accessibility are Center Hotels Laugavegur, Miðgarður by Center Hotels, Þingholt by Center Hotels, Grandi by Center Hotels, Center Hotels Plaza, and Center Hotels Arnarhvoll. For further information, please get in touch with us, and we will assist you.

How often are the rooms cleaned, and do guests need to request it?

We're on a mission to make travel greener and more sustainable, working towards Green Key certification at all our hotels. Therefore, our housekeeping service is only on request - helping us reduce water, energy, and chemical use. Need fresh towels, new linens, or a quick tidy-up? Just let the front desk know at check-in or before noon, and we’ll get you.
