Leave as family.
When the family bought a Reykjavik guest house in ’94, no one knew where it would lead us. Three generations later, our family manages seven hotels spread across the city center, each with its own personality and story to tell. From modern and sleek to old school and charming, there’s something for everyone. No matter which you choose, you’ll be staying in the heart of the city and you’ll be treated with the warmth you only get from family.
Center Hotel Laugavegur reflects the spirit of Reykjavik. The quirky, urban vibe that makes this city so distinctive comes alive throughout the building. Lóa Bar and Bistro specializes in sharing plates and casual dining, and if you want to grab a meal on the go, Stökk café offers a range of great coffees and tasty snacks. When you stay at Center Hotel Laugavegur, every day in Reykjavik has a perfect start.
Miðgarður by Center Hotels is positioned at one end of the city’s main shopping street. On Thursday nights the ever lively Jörgensen Kitchen & Bar celebrates both local produce and talent with live music performances. For a real treat check out the hotel spa and take a dip under an Icelandic sky in the thermal-water hot tub.
Slap bang in the middle of downtown Reykjavik, Center Hotel Plaza overlooks the city’s oldest square, the central venue for cultural events and performances. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and the harbor, when you stay at Plaza, the buzz of central Reykjavik is always on your doorstep.
You’ll find the boutique Þingholt by Center Hotels just off Reykjavik’s main shopping street. Small in size but big on style, the hotel has an intimate, cosmopolitan vibe throughout. If you’re looking to wind down, take a load off at the hotel spa or at the cozy bar in the hotel's lounge.
At the harbor end of the city, overlooking the bay and mountains, Center Hotel Arnarhvoll offers some of the best views in Reykjavik. From the lobby to the rooms, everything feels modern, stylish and Scandi. The hotel’s rooftop SKÝ Restaurant & Bar is a must-see for guests and locals. Did we mention that view?
Center Hotels Skjaldbreið occupies one of Reykjavik’s oldest and most striking buildings. It was the first hotel in our group and it still can’t be beaten for charm. Small in size with a big heart making every guest feeling like family. Right in the center of the city’s main shopping street, the location also makes Skjaldbreið a tough one to beat.
If staying in the center of the action is your thing, Klöpp is the place for you. Check into a room with all the creature comforts you need and then head straight out into the bars, cafés, boutiques and the nightlife of central Reykjavik. Klöpp is your sanctuary in the heart of the city.
At the center of Reykjavik’s booming creative quarter, you’ll find the stylish, industrial Grandi. More than just a great place to stay, its bustling bar, café and restaurant are gathering places for those in the know. In the hotel’s outdoor lagoon, guests can take a dip under the canopy of stars or beneath the northern lights when nature’s in the mood.
