Balance in leadership

We are proud recipients of the Equality Scale recognition, an initiative by FKA - the Association of Women Business Leaders in Iceland – which confirms gender balance in management positions at Center Hotels. “This recognition reflects the work we’ve done to promote equality in our workplace and shows that at Center Hotels, both genders have a seat at the table when it comes to recruitment and career development,” says Kristófer Oliversson, co-owner of Center Hotels.

Equal pay for equal work

In 2018, we received equal pay certification from BSI - the first company in Iceland’s tourism sector to do so after new legislation took effect. “The certification confirms that employees in the same or comparable roles receive equal pay, regardless of gender,” says Eir Arnbjarnardóttir, Director of Human Resources at Center Hotels. Equal pay is part of our core policy, and we’re committed to providing equal opportunities for growth through training, education, and a supportive work environment.
