Kjarvalsstaðir

The first - and therefore the oldest - art museum in Iceland is Kjarvalsstaðir.  Located right in the city centre, the museum houses the works of Jóhannes S. Kjarval, one of Iceland's most recognised and influential Icelandic artist.
