Culture Night

On Saturday, August 22nd, you'll find multiple events across four of our hotels!

It´s Reykjavík´s birthday, and everyone is invited!

Menningarnótt, also known as Culture Night, lights up Reykjavik's city center on Saturday, 22nd August 2026. Think of it as the biggest birthday party imaginable where half the country's population (that's 150,000 to 200,000 folks!) comes together to celebrate.

Running for a Stronger Community

Center Hotels employees are taking part in the Reykjavík Marathon, running together for a good cause. Through our participation, we aim to support Bergið - Headspace and contribute to the important work they do to support young people and their mental health. We also want to raise awareness of the importance of supporting young people’s mental well-being, promoting prevention, and building a community where everyone can thrive. We look forward to running together, cheering each other on, and raising funds for Bergið - Headspace.

Getting Around the City

Due to the celebrations on Saturday, August 22, several streets in Reykjavík city center will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00 AM until midnight. Guests travelling to or from the city center are advised to allow extra time for their journey and be prepared for changes to normal traffic routes and access.
