It´s Reykjavík´s birthday, and everyone is invited!

Menningarnótt, also known as Culture Night, lights up Reykjavik's city center on Saturday, 24th August 2024. Think of it as the biggest birthday party imaginable where half the country's population (that's 150,000 to 200,000 folks!) comes together to celebrate.

We invite you to warm up for Culture Night with a special Happy Hour at Center Hotels Plaza, Icelandic vocalist María Magnúsdóttir and guitarist Sigurjón Alexandersson will play their tunes from 16-18. They will deliver a live jazz performance and breathe life into Reykjavík's birthday in the city's oldest square, everyone is welcome to enjoy the music and relax with a drink at Happy Hour prices!

We've got an fun evening lined up, featuring DJ Júlala spinning her beats. Enjoy great drinks, good vibes, and the perfect atmosphere as we soak in the city's birthday celebrations. But that’s not all! As the night wraps up, you’ll have a front-row seat to Reykjavík's spectacular fireworks display at 11 PM.
