There is always something new happening at our hotels. Opening of a new hotel, renovation of our current ones or adding something new such as a restaurant, a spa or new service - there is never a dull moment.
New apartment hotel
Last spring we added a new hotel to our chain making it the ninth family member of the Center Hotels family. This family member was a bit different from the others since this one is an apartment hotel. The location was very convenient since it is located right opposite our very own Þingholt by Center Hotels boutique hotel at Þingholtsstræti, a side street from Laugavegur which is the main shopping and restaurant street in the city center. The new member received it's name which is Þingholt Apartment from Center Hotels. The hotel has 31 spacious and well appointed apartments ideal for travelers who like to visit the city and stay in the comfort of an apartment.

New look, new vibe
The lobby & lounge at Center Hotels Plaza has undergone a stunning transformation with a brand new look. With a fresh and modern design, our new lobby boasts a stylish and comfortable atmosphere making guests feel right at home from the moment they step through our doors. The redesigned area features chic and contemporary décor with a bar, comfy sofas, chairs, fire place and shelf's filled with items connect to Iceland and all that is Icelandic. A large table with ideal setting for working or enjoying alone time in the computer as well as large cupboards to leave luggage after checking out while exploring the city center.
New and beautiful spa
Our current work in progress is to finalize the spa and wellness area at Grandi by Center Hotels. The spa will include two large hot tubs that will be located underneath an open circular window where guests will be able to enjoy watching the sky as well as the northern lights when they decide to honor us with their presence. Three massage rooms will be in the spa, one of them ideal for couples massage. Dressing rooms and a resting area will also be located in the spa.
New and renovated rooms
Center Hotels Plaza has 255 rooms in total and so a regular renovation on rooms at the hotel is something we do as often as we can. As for now, we are in the process of starting to renovate 79 rooms at the hotel. With the renovation, the rooms will have a complete makeover with new furniture, paint and flooring.
