The festival begins with the international conference DesignTalks, which this time focuses on extremes and imbalance. The circus ring will be used to keep ideas aloft, spit out fiery talents, and soar to the skies! Discussions will cover the overflow of information, shortage of raw materials, local opportunities within a global context, rebuilding, the global family, and inner peace. The festival officially starts with an opening party at Hafnarhúsið after the conclusion of DesignTalks on Wednesday, April 24, and then flourishes throughout the city over the next five days. The DesignMarch agenda this year includes over 100 exhibitions and 200 events, with nearly 400 participants.
