Reykjavik International Film Festival

What do Icelanders like to do on dark and windy autumn nights? They flock to the cinema. If you also like going to the cinema you are in luck because the Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF) started last weekend. At the festival you can see feature films, documentaries and short films from all over the world as well as a few from Iceland. RIFF also hosts all kinds of interesting events such as hot tub concerts, masterclasses and Q and A sessions with film directors. The main prize of the festival is a golden puffin. You don‘t have to worry about understanding strange languages because all the films are either in English or have English subtitles.
